Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness that we naturally drift into many times a day. We may be more familiar with it as daydreaming and most of us can recall having arrived at a destination without much recollection of the journey we’ve just taken.

Hypnotherapy is a combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. There are many different kinds of Psychotherapy, all of which aim to help people overcome stress or emotional problems. Psychotherapy, also known as talking therapy is itself extremely beneficial and enables you to focus on the positive changes you want to achieve. Its effects are enhanced by the application of Hypnosis, which enables the subconscious mind to make beneficial changes.

When we are guided into a state of hypnosis, through deep relaxation, we enter a state of focused attention. This enables us to access and activate the resources of both the conscious and subconscious minds to make positive change in a relatively short amount of time.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a future orientated, collaborative process so it is vital that you yourself want to achieve change.

I do not currently charge for the initial consultation because I recognize that some clients may not fully understand hypnotherapy and may want to find out more before deciding what type of therapy is best for them.

During the initial consultation we discuss what you want to achieve, the mind-body connection, how hypnotherapy can help you and your individual needs & expectations.

During the first part of each subsequent session we’ll talk about the progress you have made, focusing on positives & solutions rather than dwelling on problems of the past.

We’ll discuss your preferred future where you have a more useful perspective on your life. I will then guide you into a relaxed state of Hypnosis so that we can consolidate what we have discussed.

My initial thoughts on Hypnotherapy were slightly cynical, maybe because I did not fully understand it. On meeting Steph for the first time I was put at ease straight away.


Steph has completely changed my whole mind set on how Hypno works and can help. As a busy single working Mum of three, life can be very challenging.
